Mormon Missionaries Find Family Roots in India

Jordan Matthew Barr and Benjamin Ajay Kwame Reichert had never met prior to their mission, but their assignment to India would take them both back to the country they were born in and where they would discover the parallels of their background.

Almost 20 years ago, Barr and Reichert were born to two different mothers and placed in the same orphanage in Goa, India. Both were then adopted by two different Mormon families in the United States.

Elder Barr and Elder Reichert now work together as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in India, where they have been able to give service to the community. The two young men have also had the opportunity to return to the building where the orphanage once was.

Emotions ran high for these young men when they found records detailing their births and photos of them as infants. They were allowed to take these precious items with them.
