President Uchtdorf Meets With Honduras President Porfirio Lobo

Two days prior to the 17 March dedication of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' first temple in Honduras, President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, second counselor in the Church's First Presidency, had breakfast with Honduras President Porfirio Lobo.

During the breakfast meeting,President Uchtdorf asked President Lobo that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints be treated as equals with other religions in Honduras, including important tax rules.President Lobo said all religious organizations in his country have a right to be heard. He also reaffirmed his opposition to religious discrimination.
