Service With a Smile

Latter-day Saint volunteer service missionaries Elder Roger Roth and his wife, Julie, are bringing dental care to families displaced from their homes since last month's Cyclone Evan. Elder Roth is also Dr. Roth, a retired dentist from Idaho. Elder Roth teaches the basics of dental care assisted by Sister Roth.

Elder Roth observes, “We are all children of our Heavenly Father. This is why we came to help.”

The Roths have fun-loving personalities and are bringing smiles to the people they meet.

Elder and Sister Roth are part of a missionary force of more than 59,000 senior couples and young men and women who give six to 24 months to serve God and His children. Senior couples don’t always serve a proselyting mission; some use their skills in humanitarian efforts.
