New experiences are coming to Temple Square in the coming months. These experiences will be available for Temple Square guests before, during and after the Salt Lake Temple Celebration. These include experiences in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, exhibits in the Conference Center and projections on the Salt Lake Tabernacle’s iconic domed ceiling.
Details on the opening dates for these experiences will be announced later.

In the Joseph Smith Memorial Building chapel (located on the mezzanine level), guests can learn about the role of Sunday worship in the lives of Latter-day Saints.
The presentation includes videos of members sharing the impact of Sunday worship in their daily lives. The experience also highlights the sacrament (what many other faiths call Communion), the core part of weekly worship, focused on remembering the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Life of Christ Theater
A new theater room will feature surround-screen imagery and sound, inviting guests to imagine what it was like to witness the Savior’s baptism or to be among His disciples as He calmed the stormy sea.
Life of Christ Children’s Area
Created especially for children and families, this interactive space invites young guests to learn about the life, teachings and divine mission of Jesus Christ. Through interactive storybooks and other hands-on activities, children can explore the Savior’s parables, teachings and attributes.
Life of Christ Lobby
This space offers visitors a place to rest and reflect while viewing scenes from the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

New galleries and displays teach that God calls prophets and how their teachings draw us closer to God and Jesus Christ. Other highlights include a replica of Bertel Thorvaldsen’s “Christus” statue, artwork, scripture and an interactive experience about personal revelation.
On the balcony, expansive windows frame the Salt Lake Temple, offering guests a moment to reflect on the purpose and blessings of the temple and how the house of the Lord brings us closer to Jesus Christ.
