Quito Ecuador Temple Dedication

The Quito Ecuador Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be dedicated on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside at the dedicatory sessions at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m., which will be broadcast to all units in the Quito Ecuador Temple district.

President Thomas S. Monson announced the Quito Ecuador Temple at the April 2016 general conference. Ground was broken for the Quito Ecuador Temple in May 2019. The public open house is from Friday, October 14, 2022, through Saturday, October 29, 2022, excluding Sundays.

The Quito Ecuador Temple will be the second temple in the country, after the Guayaquil Ecuador Temple, which was dedicated in August 1999. Ecuador is home to more than 250,000 members of the Church who compose over 300 congregations.
